Pohela Boishakh Celebration | Bengali New Year 1424 (2017)

In 2017 (1st Boishakh, Bengali Year 1424), Dhamrai Government College organized a vibrant cultural program to celebrate Pohela Boishakh, the Bengali New Year.

As a Business Studies student, I, Masum Mia, actively contributed both as a performer and an organizer. I participated in the chorus singing team, performing on stage in front of our respected teachers and a large public audience. At the same time, I was entrusted with responsibilities as part of the Event Execution Team, supporting the smooth implementation and coordination of the overall program.

Alongside the main stage performances, a small cultural fair was arranged within the college campus, where students celebrated together in a festive and joyful atmosphere. The college also hosted a traditional Panta Ilish lunch for all students, highlighting the cultural significance of the Bengali New Year.

The day included cultural discussions and an exchange of views, and concluded in the afternoon—leaving behind lasting memories of teamwork, cultural pride, and collective celebration.

This experience strengthened my skills in team coordination, event execution, and public performance, contributing to my overall personal and professional development during college life.
