Commemorating Independence Through Compassion: The "Dui Takay Hashimukh" Initiative- 2019

In celebration of Independence Day on March 26, 2019, I had the profound honor of co-organizing a special luncheon dedicated to underprivileged children under the banner of the "Dui Takay Hashimukh Paribar." This initiative was born out of a desire to share the joy of our national sovereignty with those who are often overlooked by society—the street children who call the Jamalpur Railway Station home.

Executing an event of this scale required meticulous planning and seamless teamwork. Alongside my dedicated teammates—Sharmin, Mehedi Hasan, Arshi Rahman Aditya, Ishrat Jahan, and Mukta—we took full responsibility for the logistics, from fundraising and food preparation to site management. We transformed the Jamalpur Railway Station premises into an open-air banquet hall, erecting professional marquees and arranging proper seating to ensure the children felt like honored guests.

The menu was carefully curated to be a festive treat, featuring traditional Polao, beef curry, lentils, salad, and refreshing juice, among other items. It was a deeply moving experience to manage the service ourselves, ensuring that every child was treated with dignity and care. Our efforts were recognized by the presence of our Chief Guest, Mr. Faruk Chowdhury, Chairman of the District Council, whose support added significant prestige to the event and encouraged our mission of social service.

For me, this project was more than just an event; it was a lesson in community leadership and the power of collective empathy. Being able to bridge the gap between different social strata through a simple meal remains one of the most rewarding milestones in my journey.
