December 16, 2017, remains a landmark day in my life at Dhamrai Government College. While the morning was spent winning on the cricket field, the afternoon allowed me to showcase my creative and intellectual side during the Victory Day Discussion & Award Ceremony.
In a room filled with scholars, freedom fighters, and leaders, I was honored to receive two prestigious awards for my literary contributions:
Best Essayist: For an analytical essay on the history and significance of the Liberation War of Bangladesh.
Best Poet: For writing and performing an original poem dedicated to our heroic Freedom Fighters.
A Moment of Honor: The awards were presented by the Chief Guest, Alhaj Benazir Ahmed (MP of Dhaka-20)—a valiant Freedom Fighter himself—alongside the College Principal, local dignitaries, and student leaders. Receiving recognition from a Freedom Fighter for my work on the Liberation War was a deeply humbling experience.
Bridging Creativity with Profession: Winning these awards in Business Studies was a testament to the fact that I don’t just work with numbers and strategies; I have a deep passion for storytelling and creative expression.
In my current role as a Marketing Professional, these skills—articulating complex ideas through essays and connecting with people’s emotions through poetry—help me craft compelling brand narratives and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
Key Achievements:
- Literary Excellence: Double win in Essay & Original Poetry.
- Public Recognition: Awarded by the Honorable Member of Parliament and College Faculty.
- Versatility: Demonstrating a balance between sports, academics, and creative arts.
