In 2016, I began my journey in the Business Studies department at Dhamrai Government College, Dhaka. Beyond the textbooks, I’ve always believed that true learning happens through participation and community building. This mindset allowed me to quickly connect with students and faculty members across all departments, making me a regular face in various college events.
One of my most cherished milestones was the Victory Day Cricket Tournament held on December 16, 2017. Organized under the supervision of our respected faculty, the tournament brought together teams from both the College and Honors branches.
Highlights of the Championship:
The Match: Representing the College branch, our team displayed exceptional coordination. During the final moments, I remained unbeaten (not out) scoring 7 runs off just 3 balls, as our team secured the victory with an entire over to spare!
A Proud Moment: The prize-giving ceremony was presided over by our honorable College Principal. While handing me the crest, he remarked, "I see your active participation everywhere. Keep it up!"—a compliment that truly fueled my drive for excellence.
Team Spirit: The trophy was officially received by our senior, Habib Bhai, on behalf of the winning squad. The event concluded with insightful speeches from our teachers and a solemn prayer for our national martyrs.
Professional Takeaway: This experience wasn't just about cricket; it was about Versatility. Being a "frequent participant" in various fields has helped me develop the people skills and confidence I use today in my Marketing career. Whether it’s a cricket pitch or a corporate boardroom, showing up and contributing is what counts.
