Bridging History with the Next Generation: International Mother Language Day Celebration

In the heart of rural Bengal, where our roots run deep, the essence of our language lives in the voices of our children. On February 27, 2024, I had the privilege of attending a meaningful event organized by the Rotaract Club of Jamalpur at Ashraf Uddin Government Primary School in Melandah, Jamalpur.

The event was centered around celebrating "Shaheed Dibash & International Mother Language Day" with the primary school students, focusing on the history and significance of our language movement.

Event Highlights:

  • Interactive Quiz & Discussion: We organized a quiz competition and an open discussion session to engage the children and spark their curiosity about the history of 1952.
  • Distinguished Presence: The program was graced by the honorable Chairman of Phulkocha Union, along with the dedicated teachers of the institution.
  • The Rotaract Spirit: Representing the Rotaract Club of Jamalpur, I joined our President, General Secretary, and fellow members in this initiative to give back to the community.

A Heartfelt Appreciation: A special thanks to our Honorable President of Rotaract Club Jamalpur, Faisal Sharkar bhai, and the Event Chair, Sonet bhai, for their exceptional coordination and for inviting me to be part of such a noble cause.

Reflections as a Marketer: Participating in events like this at the grassroots level reminds me that effective communication is the bridge that connects people. Whether it’s teaching children about their heritage or building a brand, the core remains the same—storytelling with purpose. It was an honor to witness the enthusiasm of these young minds who are the future of our nation.
